Glee Episode Nine ? ?special Education? ? Sectionals Episode

So what does Fox say about the coming episode of Glee? In the previous episode, we are left hanging by Kurt’s revelation that he’ll transfer to Blaine’s school. According to Fox.com, the next episode will be the sectionals and we’ll either see Kurt singing for the Wurblers or return to New Directions with a few dramatic scenes. All I can say about that it’s good for Kurt. Unless Karovsky will become an angel all of a sudden, or die, Kurt is better off staying on that good school.

Another revelation from Fox.com is that a lot of relationships will be pretty messy except for Ms. OCD Guidance and the dentist. What can we Gleeks assume about that? We see on “Furt” that Finn haven’t revealed to Rachel that he isn’t a virgin anymore. And Tina is interested with Britney and Arty’s blooming relationship. I can only assume that these things might be put on the spotlight on the next episode.

Aside from the hopefully very good performances next episode, these are just some of the spicy tidbits that we’ll be looking forward to the next episode. I just hope that next week come sooner.

How to get a free and appropriate public education for your special needs child

Special education is instruction that is designed to meet the needs of children with disabilities. Special education falls under IDEA the Individuals with Disabilities Act. Essentially it says that every child regardless of their disabilities has the right to a free and appropriate public education or FAPE. IDEA itself is a federally mandated law, however, each state and even each school district can interpret these laws in different ways. The result is that more than three decades after the law was passed special education is still just an “idea” and not a reality for many children in this country. Many excuses for this situation are given. The bottom line though is providing appropriate special education is expensive.

In the long run, not providing appropriate special education is going to prove even more expensive. These children fall through the cracks of our society and are likely to end up in the penal system. The loss in tax money to support them in prison and the loss of productivity in society they might have provided given appropriate education services is likely to far outstrip the cost of providing appropriate services to them as children. The average yearly cost of supporting a federal prisoner is twenty to forty thousand dollars a year. We can pay upfront in programs that will help at risk and special needs children get the training and education they need to be productive members of society or we can pay later in prison cost, lost and damaged property, loss of life, loss of resources and loss of productivity. America has one of the highest per capita incarceration rates in the world and many if not most of these prisoners were in special education at one point or another. What we’re doing now is obviously not working.

Navigating special education for your child means you will be dealing with a bureaucracy. The local school system is a bureaucracy attempting to defend itself from what it perceives as unreasonable demands from the government to provide special education services. Their primary concern is not your child. It is with their bureaucracy as a whole. Although you will come across teachers who resent having to provide interventions for your child, the teachers in the trenches are not the primary problem with special education. They are generally trying to do the best they can in this bureaucracy that doesn’t always provide the support they need either.

School system vary in how well they deal with the issues of special education. If you live in a school system such as the one I lived in, you will have to fight for every service your child receives and in the end, you probably won’t win without a really good attorney and a great deal of money. There are supposedly free legal services to help parents in conflicts with the school. I called every name on my school districts list. No one was available to help me, so much for free low cost legal services. The school system however, will definitely have an attorney well versed in IDEA law on retainer coaching them every step of the way in any conflict.

Your best course of action to obtain services for your child is to educate yourself. I provide a few links that are good places to start.

Benefits of Online Education

In the beginning there were brick and mortar universities with cold lecture halls and professors in tweed suits, ill-fitted trowsers and argyle socks. The one and a half hour lectures were torturous at best, boring to the point of tears or drowsiness at worst. There were better places that the student could be. They maybe had a job to help pay for their college, they had studying to do for their Archeology exam. Even the most avid student was not always up to par after a weekend of sleep deprivation.

Fortunately the world has changed and technological advances have given rise to an entirely different and time freeing format for educating and career advancement. Welcome online universities. There are many available that will assist you in learning just the right knowledge and skills in order to survive the economically rough spots that a country will face from time to time. While you hold down your ultimate 9 to 5 job you can spend your evenings or your lunch hour enabling your brain to do the walking from the comfort of your cushy office chair or your recliner in front of “House.”

Single parents, or moms and dads of young children can take advantage of the flexibility of hours and requirements that are afforded in the cyber university. Check into what you want to do and ensure that the online university you choose is the best fit for your academic goals. If you do not do your homework you may choose a university that does not fulill your higher education needs. I enrolled in a university and gained my BS in Criminal Justice/Forensic Psychology to find that I could not further my education in Psychology at that particular online venue because they did not offer it. I had to once again go searching for the perfect university. When I chose the Graduate study program I am enrolled in now, I made sure that they also provided the studies necessary to advance through a PhD as well. When transferring from even an online university there are requirements and academic efforts that must be taken. The new school will wish to have transcripts from the old school. Financial aid packages need to be re-submitted and re-requested. The entire enrollment process starts again when you change online universities as it does for brick and mortar ones.

As I mentioned in the beginning our world is busy. This is why I advise that online university potential students do their homework on the colleges of their choice. You can get into a good one that will teach you everything you need to know or you can be pulled into a college that does not provide you with the proper mental and educational stimulus, or even academic choices that will bring you to the top of your goals.

Writing styles in college do not change. There are a few out there, MLA, APA, Chicago, to name a few. Be sure you find out what your college is requiring and do your homework and learn the style. If you do not then your grades will suffer. With online schooling it is imperative that you have the dedication to work on your own because you will not see the professor every day to remind you, and won’t have the same office hours available for remedial or additional assistance.

If you are dedicated to your education and have too much on your plate to go to a physical institution of higher learning then visit many online universities and choose one that will fit your every requirement. Oh! To let you know, if you are pursuing a law degree there is only one university available for online law and once you obtain your license and pass the bar, you will only be allowed to practice law in California. Currently that state is the only one that will accept an online law degree.

Question by just me: online education?
I am interested in furthering my education and looking into taking something online, since I am a stay at home mom it seems about the best way for me to go about getting a degree. However does anyone know if employers look at online degrees the same way they do as a degree attained at an actual college, and what online colleges are crediable.

If I owned a business, an on line degree would not hold any more weight than a high-school degree. I don’t know how on line colleges work, but I think the premise is to get through college faster and easier. Anything that is either fast and/or easoer is not worth doing. As such, I think an on line degree holds no weight. I equate it to cheating.

Seth Ghasiram Gopikishan Badruka Educational Society
In the year 1950, Late Raja Bankatlal Badrukaji, Shri Pannalal Pitti and others mooted a proposal for establishing a Commerce College in Hindi Medium. It was decided that the Vice Chancellor of Osmania University should be contacted to progress the proposal.

Nawab Ali Yawar Bahadur, the then Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University appreciated the initiative but suggested that the college should be started in English or Hindi Medium with a endowment fund of 2.5 Lakhs to which Raja Bankatlalji readily accepted.

Thus, a beginning was made to promote quality education. The first exclusive institution for students of commerce came into existence on 2nd August 1950 and was
inaugurated by the then Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University.

The year 2000-01 was the Golden Jubilee year for the Badruka Educational Society established on 2nd August 1950.

Each of the colleges under the society has established its own reputation in the respective fields like Commerce, Management, Information Technology, etc.

Classrooms The Centre has big, well-ventilated classrooms that can comfortably accommodate about 60 students each.
